Excursion to restored spring areas<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Last week, we prepared an excursion to the restored sites for a group of experts from the state enterprise Lesy \u010cesk\u00e9 republiky. Foresters, water managers and administrative staff took part, working together on projects to restore the water regime in forest stands. That is why we presented two project sites in the Sto\u017eecko region, where we blocked drainage systems and restored natural outflow in forested spring slopes last year – sites with active forest management which will continue after restoration. As an example of a proven and suitable procedure for the restoration of smaller streams, we chose the Hu\u010dina stream, which, seven years after the restoration, looks as if there was never a period when it flowed through a straight channel transferred to the edge of the meadow. The pleasant atmosphere of the day was multiplied by interesting discussions on the topic of water in the landscape.<\/p>\n
